Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon 75%, Merlot 20%, Petit Verdot 5%

Classically styled Bordeaux, an archetypal claret that Hugh Johnson described as "the pillar of the cru bourgeoisie".

Once fermented the wine is matured in oak barriques for 18 months, some 30% of which are new oak each year. The Cabernet provides the unmistakable, classic aromas of blackcurrant and pencil shavings and a firm, mouth-filling structure. The Merlot adds plumpness and the Petit Verdot provides a peppery complexity in this classic, mature Haut-Medoc.

Ideal to serve with classic British cuisine.
