Indomita Nostros Gran Reserva Merlot 2006

The result of careful selection of the best grapes followed by ageing in oak barrels, this Merlot is a rich, ripe, fleshy example of its type. Packed full of succulent blackcurrant with hints of mint and chocolate, it is a supple, satisfying red.

Perched high on a hill above the plains of the Casablanca Valley, Vina Indomita looks more Roman temple than winery but love-it-or-hate-it, it is not a building you are going to miss! Sourcing fruit from both the Casablanca for their white wines, and Maipo region for their reds, they have the benefit of having the best climate for both whites and reds and produce superb, expressive wines that are both beautiful and offer exceptional value for money.

The wines are created at a state of the art winery, situated 80 kilometres from Santiago. With winemaking guidance from Angela Muir MW and the wine trade skills of Wilfred Leigh at the helm, they’ve developed some new, enticing ranges of wines to suit all pockets. Nostros, meaning “ours” in Spanish offers both Reserva and Gran Reserva levels of wine from premium growing regions with real typicity and varietal expression.
