BURGUNDY 2008 EN PRIMEUR OFFER
29.01.10
Today it’s strange to think that 2008 came close to being written off by a UK press as a poor vintage, while they looked forward, somewhat prematurely, to a ‘great’ 2009. Our experience in February and October 2009 as we visited our producers was hugely positive and a complete contrast to what we had read. On innumerable occasions during our visit we tasted wines of great balance, charm and elegance. This is clearly a discovery shared. As the wine media, print journalists, bloggers, tweeters and general critics have all been wowed by a great many wines now that they are (in most cases) bottled and ready for serious tasting; wines with beguiling characteristics that could only have come from this enchanting strip of land in north east France.
