Australia

Where do we begin? From the butt of hackneyed wine snob jokes in the 1970s and 80s to the undisputed position as the most exciting wine producing nation on the planet.  Centuries of wine producing experienced have been crammed into little more than a generation, and it hasn't always been pretty either.  In their plan to beat the Europeans at their own game Australia has walked a very fine line between the dynamic, no-rules maverick that it wants the world to see it as, and the corporate mega-industry that orchestrates 90% of production and shows no immediate signs of backing down.

But that 10%. Wow! There can be nowhere else where such a collection of committed, creative and driven winemakers are so consistently hitting these heights and pushing the boundaries.  Sometimes arrogant, yes, but never afraid to observe and listen; your typical Australian winemaker is rarely challenged in the raw talent stakes.

HarperWells work with a variety of outstanding producers including Henschke, Bird in Hand, Shaw & Smith, Meerea Park,Mitolo, John Duval, Jeffrey Grosset, Grant Burge, Mosswood and many more.
