The Yering Station single vineyard wines are part of a small release of experimental wines by IWSC winemaker of the year Tom Carson.
The cool climate and long slow ripening season of the Yarra Valley to the east of Melbourne provides near perfect conditions for wines with clear varietal and regional characteristics. Winemaker Tom Carson won IWC winemaker of the year in 2004.
Now made by master winemaker Dan Buckle, Cliff Edge is the classic expression of Shiraz from the Grampians region of Victoria.
Drink 2008-2012
The grapes grown in this Austrialian vineyard were planted on 19th century French rootstocks, another nod to the French tradition & influence in this new world wine. This wine is a collaborative effort between two renowned wine families; Chapoutier from the Rhône Valley in France, and Terlato family of Napa Valley in California.
