Made from the top three vineyards in the Estate and matured in French oak the CVNE Imperial is an 'old world' masterclass in a bottle.
This wine is made from the top three vineyards in the Estate and is matured in French oak only. Highly aromatic on the nose with hints of red and black autumn fruits along with some toasty, spicy notes. Awesome vintage and amazing in Magnums.
Big scoring sweet wine from the classic 2001 vintage in Sauternes.
A fabulous effort, the 2001 De Malle exhibits tremendous palate penetration, deep, full-bodied flavors, great acidity for balance, and marvelous notes of lavender, honey, pineapple, creme brulee, and spice.
One of the grandest sweet wines of the Barsac AOC region.
Drink 2008- 2016 +
Ever since this property was taken over by the team at Chateau Giscours this property has become one of the finest in Margaux. The 2001 is a marvellous claret and single-handedly illustrates what an under-rated vintage 2001 really was.
Drink 2015 and beyond
Just a few bottles remaining. One of the great South Australian classics. Mount Edelstone has been building on its reputation since the first release in 1952. Formidable wine. 95 Parker Points. Call 01603 411466 for current availability.
2008 - 2010
Matured in oak barriques for 18 months - Cabernet Sauvignon provides unmistakable, classic aromas of blackcurrant and pencil shavings and a firm, mouth-filling structure. Merlot adds plumpness and Petit Verdot provides a peppery complexity in this classic, mature Haut-Medoc.
Experience the fantastic wine of Chateau Lafon-Rochet from 2001, one of the most underrated vintages of the past 25 years.
In our view, Abadal's finest wine from their finest vintage. Reserva 2001 is a fine blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Aged to perfection this wine is remarkable.
Niepoort's LBV is an extremely unusual offering, being the product of a single vintage harvested from 70-year-old vines, and the grapes trodden by foot in lagares. The materials and process is identical to making his vintage Port, except the LBV is aged longer in casks and barrels to produce a wine that is ready to drink on release.
