Knowledgable and easygoing Londoner Dan Milburn joined HarperWells in 2010, taking on the role of Fine Wine Manager, having spent 15 years working for a variety of market leaders in the UK wine industry.
After graduating from university, Dan joined the Graduate Training Program at Majestic Wine where he spent over 8 years, reaching Senior Manager status in addition to running a couple of their continental superstores. During his time with Majestic, Dan also gained the WSET Higher Certificate and travelled throughout many of the worlds' major wine regions. After a brief period with E&J Gallo, Dan joined the sales team at Lay & Wheeler in Essex and went on to forge a very strong restaurant customer base throughout East Anglia. Before joining HarperWells Dan worked for Enotria, picking up particularly indepth knowledge on Italian wines.
Dan brings an in-depth understanding of the wine world and an enthusiasm for a “job well done” to the HarperWells team. Dan has a very eclectic taste in wine, ranging from a love of the French Classics through to the icons of the New World.
Dan is responsible for managing and developing all new clients, alongside a current customer base, providing advice and recommendation on purchasing, selling and storing wine as well as building a varied and interesting wine collection.
