Pale gold in colour, this dry Furmint truly reveals the superb potential of this grape. The nose opens with a lustrous bouquet of nectarine, ripe peach and dried pineapple. There are aromas of elusive spices, vanilla and floral notes. The palate is medium bodied with a delicate texture and notable flavours of pear.
Ferreirinha, Leda
A wine of great intensity, complexity and elegance. On the nose, aromas of ripe red and black fruits combine with spicy notes of cedar and tobacco box and subtle floral notes of rose and violet. Full-bodied on the palate, with ripe and velvety tannins and a refreshing acidity which carries the complex flavours onto the lingering finish.
Henschke, Edelstone
Medium garnet with crimson hues. Intense and evocative aromas of briary black currant, blackberry, blueberry, with lifted notes of sage, bay leaf, crushed flowering herbs, black pepper, anise and hints of cedar. The palate is rich and complex with well-defined blackberry, mulberry, red plum and black currant fruit, layered with sage, black pepper and bay leaf, and carried by fine- grained, mature, velvety tannins for an almost endless finish.
Inniskillin, Icewine
There is an abundance of strawberry and cherry aromas with a hint of fresh cream that dominate on the nose, while the concentrated red fruit flavours of strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb also show through on the palate. This decadent icewine boasts perfectly balanced sweetness and acidity on a lingering finish.
