Maison Chanzy
A classic for HarperWells, historically located in Bouzeron, with vineyards across Burgundy, Maison Chanzy make accessible wines with great depth. This year’s offering:
2022 Hautes Côtes de Beaune Blanc
Jasmine, ripe pear and mouth watering acidity. Elegant, fresh with a good weight and lovely depth.
£160 per 6
2021 Rully ‘La Crée’
Vibrant and generous, 16 months maturation, more structured and rich. Ripe apricot and pear, papaye on the palate. It will be extraordinary in 3 years.
£200 per 6

2022 Bouzeron ‘Les Trois’
A surprise for us, fresh and youthful with tension and generosity in equal measure. Granny smith apple, flint and gunpowder. Could be mistaken for Chablis blind.
£135 per 6
Special offer: £99 per 6 when purchased with any other Burgundy.
Domaine Borgeot
Created in 1903 and now run by fourth generation brothers, Domaine Borgeot have 23 hectares across Bouzeron, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet.
2022 Bourgogne Blanc Côte d’Or
Bright with a buttery hint, generous citrus and fresh cut apple. A light spice of oak but with a wonderfully linear drive from partial stainless steel fermentation.
£360 per 12
2021 Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Vieilles Vignes’
Refined, elegant apricot, spice and stoned fruit. A poached orchard fruit leaning but a wonderful freshness.
£665 per 6

2021 Santenay 1er ‘La Comme’ Blanc
A standout. Apple core with smoked butter, spice and poached pear. Length for days with a richness and silky texture.
£385 per 6
2022 Puligny-Montrachet ‘Les Meix’
Ripe and rich, oak spiced red apple, quince and citrus. A hint of lime peel and delicate floral tones. Beautiful length with great potential to age.
£670 per 6
Les Hauts de Milly
The winery and cellar are located in the small village of Milly on the left bank of the Serein, just south of Chablis. The family behind Les Hauts de Milly own vineyards in Chablis and Rully through marriage. All the vineyards are farmed organically. I’ve only selected the Rully, but i believe it to be outstanding.
2022 Rully 1er Cru ‘Mont Palais’
Ripe, rounded lemon pie and pear. Perhaps a hint of quince and the texture is just perfect.
£470 per 12
Domaine de L’Enclos
Domaine de L’Enclos is one of the most exciting domaines to emerge from Chablis in the past decade. Primarily using small stainless steel tanks to vinify different parcels separately, they work with low yields to ensure full ripeness in the grapes.

2022 Chablis 1er Cru ‘Beauroy’
Pale lemon in colour, plenty of lemon, lime and apricot on the nose. Wet stones and that driving acidity. Something herbal on the finish, lively with a depth befitting 1er Cru.
£280 per 6
2022 Chablis Grand Cru ‘Vaudésir’
Super bright mineral and full of intense lemon and green apple peel. A touch of nuttiness, tight and mildly uncompromising in the best possible way. Great potential for age on this one, and it’s a little closed at the moment, but only bottled in November so that’s to be expected!
£540 per 6
Domaine Laroche
Deeply rooted in the history of Chablis, based in a former monastery in Chablis itself where wine has been made for over 1,000 years. The quality of the wines is consistently impeccable, with the Chablis hallmark of crystalline purity.
2022 Chablis ‘St Martin”
Mineral, racy, citrus and chalk. Extremely bright but incredibly drinkable.
£190 per 6

Domaine Chevalier

Established in 1850, with a total of 15 hectares under vine on south-easterly chalky-clay soils. Right on the doorstep of Aloxe-Corton.
2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Clean citrus, apple skin and under ripe apricot, with a subtle umami toned spice. Balanced smokiness and something floral, perhaps rose petal? Great.
