Great storage only adds to the enjoyment of valuable wines. We can provide short to medium term storage at our warehouses in East Anglia. We can also provide Underbond storage in London as well as advise on the design, build and fitting of a cellar at your home.

A Perfect Cellar?Wines purchased at HarperWells can now be stored at our warehouses in East Anglia Duty Paid Only. We have set storage fees at the most competitive rate possible.The conditions are ideal for mid to long-term storage and wines are insured at replacement value.

In short, the system operates as follows:

• Storage will be duty paid only (in other words – not under bond).
• The storage will run January – December at £9.50 per calendar year.
• Fees will be charged at date of purchase then at each January thereafter.

Cases are defined as a single unit of storage from 1 to 12 bottles. As with most storage solutions part cases may not be removed without a re-process and charge for remaining wines.

Local and Nationwide delivery will be charged at the prevailing rate for delivery.

Assuming one single delivery address:

Currently £8.50 for the first 25kg (approximately 1 case of 12 standard bottles) Mailsafe packaging currently £8.99 per dozen bottles.

Larger format bottles and multiple destinations by discussion.

Please note: Glass cannot be insured through the courier network, assuming you have purchased Mailsafe packaging and damage occurs in transit the goods will be replaced. If this is no longer an option similar goods or a credit note will be provided – by agreement.

We want the delivery of your precious wines to be straight-forward and hassle-free. Wine is a valuable and fragile commodity and we take the delivery of it just as seriously as we do selecting each and every bottle.  

How will my wine be delivered?
We deliver to mainland UK via DHL. The majority of wines will be delivered within 5 working days of receiving your order. If you provide a mobile number you will receive a text message from DHL with a delivery notification. This will allow you to track and leave your delivery in a safe location.

What Happens if my wine is damaged in transit?
Every effort is made to package your wine to arrive in one piece. However glass is not insured through the courier network. You may purchase Mailsafe packaging at £8.99 for a dozen bottles. If you have opted for Mailsafe packaging we will replace or refund any damaged bottles.

Have you thought about booking a wine tasting with us.  We host over 100 wine tastings every year for our shop and business customers.  Whether you want to come to a relaxed fun wine tasting, learn a bit more about wine or even build closer ties with your clients and team an event can be built for you.

We are happy to tailor a tasting to suit your individual requirements. As a guide tastings can be arranged Tuesday – Friday. Arrive at 6pm for a glass of fizz on arrival followed by five seasonal or topical wines. We’ll put on a range of small canapés to compliment the wine selection and have your wrapped up by 8pm.

Below are a few ideas and examples:

Make Me An Expert.
This is an evening of wine discovery. We taste and discuss 3 classic wine varieties looking at their history, their countries of origin and discussing the classic food pairings. We also cover other popular questions such as cork v screwcap, why decant, what glassware. Arrive a novice, leave an expert. 60 minutes. £10 per person. (subject to minimum spend)

Old World vs. New World
An evening showing 6 wines from different areas of the viniferious world. Bubbles on arrival then followed by 2 white and 3 red wines. Bread with dipping oils, artisan crisps and olives will also be served alongside the wines. This is a VERY popular evening.
90 minutes – £15 per person Minimum 10 people.

Cheesy Moments.

Why is cheese and wine still such an enduring combination? Do all cheeses even suit wine? Is Port and Stilton really such a good match? The answers to all these questions and more cheese related conundrums will be revealed. 6 Wines are presented starting with something bubbly, followed by 2 white and 3 red wines. Wines on the evening will be relevant to the time of the year we are in.
2 hours. £20 per person. Minimum 10 people.



In the Flavour Pit.

The ultimate hedonists evening. Here we roll out some of the most intense and full-flavoured wines in the wine world and combine them with classic charcuterie, tapas and cheeses. Unashamedly ‘in your face’ this is journey to the boundaries of full-flavour. For the indulgent natured. 
2 hours. £25 per person. Minimum 10 people.
